"Eat the frog" is a shorthand for saying that we should take on our biggest challenge each day as the first thing we do.
If we had to eat a frog it would feel uncomfortable and gross and we'd probably do all the other things in our list before that instinctively, but in reality we'd be happier and healthier if we just got it over with early. We want to eat our frog as the first thing we do because it ensures we bring to bear as many resources as we have to get it done.
Eating our frog each day also has a compounding effect - we build a muscle and an instinct for taking on difficult challenges. Eating the frog is a good way of choosing the fight when we find ourselves in a [[Fight-flight-freeze response]].
