## Accept what is My experience of reality is what it is - complete acceptance of my fundamental experience (as well as my lack of understanding of that experience) is key to my well-being. This kind of acceptance leads to an enormous reduction of suffering, which lets me grow with less discomfort (See [[Suffering leads to growth]]) ## Connect Vulnerably I want to build deep, courageous connections with people who desire the same, and the only way to build those kinds of connections is to lean into my vulnerabilities. To connect fully I need to be authentic, open, and honest while also listening deeply to understand the lived experiences of others. The need for curiosity runs through all of my principles, but it's probably most needed here—in my connections with others. ## Contribute Courageously I want to contribute courageously toward greater human well-being. My contribution can only be defined as courageous if I act rightly in the face of my perceived vulnerability, fear, or risk - courage is showing up fully as myself even when I can't control the outcome. I want to prioritize my contribution towards well being in the following way: - **Myself** - If I'm not [[Above and below the line thinking|above the line]] and I don't give myself the self-care I need I won't be able to effectively help others - **My family and friends** - These are the most important people in my life - **The well-being of my community** - There is a lot of meaning to be had here if I can effectively take care of myself, my family, and my friends ## Grow Intentionally I want every aspect of my life to be aligned - this includes my work, relationships, activities, hobbies, affiliations, and goals. I want to grow intentionally to bridge the gap between who I am today and who I want to be in a way that contributes to that alignment. ## Savor Being What it's like to be me in every moment is magical and it's possible to savor being no matter what shape that being is taking right now. [Sam Harris](https://samharris.org/) captures the potential for [[Nondualism]] to cut through our feelings of grasping or avoiding perfectly in this quote: > Everything is in its own place and everything is all there is in each moment. Isn’t everything enough? Awareness is core to my savoring because I believe any experience can be appreciated if I am abundantly aware of it.
